In Romanian numbers from 1 to 20 need to be memorized individually. Numbers from 21 and upwards are formed by using the following pattern: for example 45 can be formed by using 40 + și + 5 while connecting them: 45 = Patruzeci și cinci.
In Romanian, comma (virgulă) is used in decimal fractions; for instance: 3.14 (in English, 3 point fourteen), becomes 3,14 in Romanian and it is read “trei virgulă paisprezece”
