Learning the Macedonian Negation displayed below is vital to the language. Macedonian negation is the process that turns an affirmative statement (I am happy) into its opposite denial (I am not happy).
In Macedonian, negation can be made simply by placing "Ne" before the main verb. But sometimes a double negative is required. "Ne" is the most common negative.
Не можам да го направам ова. (I can't do this).
Тие немаат ништо да прават (they don't have anything to do – Double Negative).
Не ми се допаѓа тоа (I don't like it)
Sometimes the negative can be made with the auxiliary verb “нема" (don’t have) or with negative words like: никој (nobody) or ништо (nothing).
