Learning the Indonesian Pronouns is very important because its structure is used in every day conversation. The more you master it the more you get closer to mastering the Indonesian language. But first we need to know what the role of Pronouns is in the structure of the grammar in Indonesian.
Indonesian pronouns include personal pronouns (refer to the persons speaking, the persons spoken to, or the persons or things spoken about), indefinite pronouns, relative pronouns (connect parts of sentences) and reciprocal or reflexive pronouns (in which the object of a verb is being acted on by verb's subject).
Pronouns Lesson
In English personal pronouns are (I, you, he, she, it, we, you, they), and (me, you, him, her, it, us, you, them), In Indonesian, the personal pronouns are:
aku... (I), kamu... (you), dia ( pria).... (he), dia ( wanita)… (she),
kita .... (we), mereka.... (they masc.), mereka… (they fem.)
Examples:aku belajar (I learn), kamu belajar (you learn), dia belajar (he learns), ia belajar(she learns), anda belajar (you learn [polite]), kita belajar (we learn), kalian belajar (you learn [plural, friendly]), mereka belajar (they learn), mereka belajar (they learn), kalian belajar (you learn [plural, polite]).
Indirect Object Pronouns:
Indirect object pronouns are words that replace the indirect object, which is usually a person.
aku (me), kamu (you), dia (him, her, you (formal), kita (us), kalian (you), mereka (them):
Examples: berikan buku itu padaku (give me the book). aku cinta kamu (I love you).
