Learning the Filipino Negation displayed below is vital to the language. Filipino negation is the process that turns an affirmative statement (I am happy) into its opposite denial (I am not happy). In Tagalog there are two words for negation wala, meaning not, there is not, ako wala pera, I have no money and ko alam I don’t know. Here are some examples:
