Estonian pronouns include personal pronouns (refer to the persons speaking, the persons spoken to, or the persons or things spoken about), indefinite pronouns, relative pronouns (connect parts of sentences) and reciprocal or reflexive pronouns (in which the object of a verb is being acted on by verb's subject).

There are no genders in Estonian, that is also true about the pronoun: both "he" and "she" translate into “tema” or the short form “ta”.

Mina/ma (I), sina/sa (you), tema/ta (he, she),

Meie/me (we), teie/te (you [plural or formal]), nemad/nad (they)

Examples: mina õpin (I learn), sina õpid (you learn), tema õpib (he, she learns), meie õpime (we learn), teie õpite (you learn [plural or formal]), nemad õpivad (they learn).

The short versions (ma, sa, ta etc.) can be used instead of the full versions depending on style, rhythm, and the focus of stress.

Indirect Object Pronouns:

To denote the object, partitive case is often used:

Mind (me), sind (you), teda (him, her), meid (us), teid (you [plural or formal]), neid (them):
